For that reason it may be difficult for some to locate a space appropriate for the device. Cat Genie also requires special granules and cleaning cartridges, which can become a financial burden over time. As with the other device, there is still the possibility of the cat rejecting the system and refusing to use it.
Automatic litter boxes are great time savers, and they enable people to avoid the nastiness of cat waste as much as possible. For this reason alone many are willing to invest a chunk of change in the technologies.
